SMB plays a critical role in expanding merchant supply for TikTok Shop Vietnam by acquiring, incubating, and educating sellers who can grow with the platform. In this role, you will focus on outbound merchant acquisition through outreach activities, online and offline events, and partner collaborations, while working closely with cross-functional teams to engage merchants and support their growth on TikTok Shop.
We are seeking a Business Development talent to drive SMB merchant acquisition for TikTok Shop Vietnam, with a strong focus on outbound business development through outreach activities, online and offline events, workshops, and partner collaborations. This role requires a hands-on operator who can build qualified merchant pipelines, work effectively across teams, and turn merchant engagement into sustainable growth outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Drive SMB merchant acquisition for TikTok Shop Vietnam through proactive outreach activities, business development initiatives, and online and offline engagement programs
- Build and manage a strong merchant pipeline by identifying opportunities, initiating conversations, and converting prospects into productive sellers on the platform
- Own the end-to-end planning, hosting, and follow-up of TikTok Shop SMB workshops, webinars, and other merchant-facing events in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Represent TikTok Shop SMB in the broader seller ecosystem, building relationships with merchants, communities, and business partners to expand acquisition opportunities
- Develop and manage partner relationships that support market outreach, lead generation, and merchant growth objectives
- Manage and develop a team of BPO agents, focusing on supporting merchants onboarding and growth
- Track pipeline and acquisition performance, surface actionable insights, and work cross-functionally to improve merchant conversion and activation quality
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification(s):
- 5+ years of experience in business development, merchant acquisition, sales, partnerships, account management, or ecommerce growth, with a strong track record of pipeline development and conversion
- Proven experience driving business growth through proactive outreach activities, events, partnerships, or related demand-generation initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to host, present, or support online and offline workshops or events, with strong public speaking and audience engagement skills
- Experience managing partners or external stakeholders to deliver business outcomes, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional internal teams
- Excellent command of both Vietnamese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Strong understanding of ecommerce, social commerce, and digital selling strategies in Vietnam
- Experience with TikTok Shop or similar ecommerce or social commerce platforms
- Experience engaging a broad range of SMB merchants in Vietnam and understanding their growth needs
