As part of the Governance and Experience (GNE) organization, our Risk Control and Security team safeguards TikTok Shop’s global marketplace for users, sellers, and creators. We blend data-driven insights, policy design, and technical innovation to combat fraud while preserving a seamless user experience.

As a Risk Strategy Product Manager, you will help support and improve risk prevention strategies across the platform. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their product management career who is interested in risk operations, data analysis, AI, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with business, operations, data, and engineering teams to help build scalable solutions that protect the ecosystem from fraud and other risks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and improving risk strategies for specific business areas. Help identify gaps, monitor performance, and contribute to scalable risk solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support AI-driven initiatives that improve operational efficiency and automate manual review processes.
- Analyze risk trends, investigate root causes of issues, and help monitor strategy and model performance using data-driven insights.
- Help create standardized processes, playbooks, and QA guidelines to support consistent execution across global and regional teams.
- Work closely with Product, Data, Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions and support project execution.
- Track key metrics, identify opportunities for optimization, and support ongoing improvements to balance risk management and business growth.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- The +1 years of experience in Risk Management, Trust & Safety, or Anti-fraud within major technology ecosystems.
- Expert-level SQL skills with the ability to autonomously extract insights and risk signals from large-scale, complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of machine learning principles, specifically in designing high-impact features and evaluating model performance (e.g., Precision, Recall, AUC) to optimize risk-reward trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM applications, including Prompt Engineering and the orchestration of AI agents to solve operational challenges.
- Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams, including Business, Data, Engineering, and Operations.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership. Comfortable making high-stakes, data-backed decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Proven success in navigating high-concurrency adversarial attacks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in e-commerce, fintech, trust & safety, or digital platforms is a plus.
