Tech Lead Backend Software Engineer, Global E-commerce Core Shopping - Aftersales Experience

The Core Shopping & Experience team ensures a seamless core shopping experience across product details, shopping cart, transactions, and after-sales experience. They optimize every stage, from product discovery to post-purchase, strengthening the trust between buyers, sellers, and the e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for e-Commerce solutions and services for TikTok Shop in the US.
- Be responsible for building an intuitive and reliable shopping aftersale experience, including browsing order details, cancel, return, and refund, etc.
- Building scalable, maintainable, and extendable design and code, and clear documentation for a fast-growing product team.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable institutions.
- 7+ years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang/Python/Scala/C++ programming languages.
- Experience in software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style.
- Experience in understanding data structure, algorithm design, analysis, and highly scalable systems design.
- Experience in product and business understanding, able to align product engineering directions to support current and future products and business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- E-commerce industry experience is preferred.
- Understanding of observability, reliability, and performance optimization for large-scale systems.
- Passion for programming, strong learning ability, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset toward staying current with industry technologies.
