Description
Nekki is an international game development studio with more than 20 years of experience creating games for mobile, PC, and consoles. Known for the Shadow Fight series and Vector, the studio is currently developing SPINE, a cinematic gun-fu action game built with Unreal Engine 5 for PC and consoles.
The team is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of the project. You will work closely with developers, designers, and other specialists to test gameplay systems, identify issues, improve testing processes, and support the release of a high-quality AAA-level experience.
Responsibilities
Test gameplay systems, physics, materials, AI, levels, and other game functionality
Participate in Smoke and Regression testing activities
Prepare and contribute to test summary reports
Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and checklists
Collect and analyze performance data using Unreal Insights
Collaborate with developers, game designers, level designers, and other teams
Conduct Exploratory testing
Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
Required Skills
4+ years of experience testing video games built with Unreal Engine
Strong understanding of game performance testing and optimization principles
Knowledge of game development and testing workflows within Unreal Engine
Experience testing gameplay systems, physics, and core game functionality
Proficiency with Unreal Editor and Unreal Engine debugging tools
Experience using logs, profiling tools, and diagnostic systems
Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases
Experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking systems
Strong bug reporting and documentation skills
Ability to analyze issues using screenshots, videos, and detailed reports
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desire to learn new technologies and testing approaches
Nice to Have
Experience testing PC and console titles
Familiarity with Unreal Insights profiling workflows
Experience working on action games or combat-heavy projects
Knowledge of automated testing methodologies
Experience with certification requirements for console platforms
Passion for video games and quality assurance
