Your Role:
Serve as a client-facing Fixed Income Strategist representing Invesco’s EMEA ETF and Indexed Strategies business. Responsibilities will include working closely with the business development and marketing teams to increase Invesco’s brand recognition in the DACH and CEE regions, producing engaging analyses for clients, and creating and maintaining a wide range of materials required to support Invesco’s EMEA fixed income ETF business.
What you will be doing:
Act as an authority on fixed income products and markets by representing Invesco’s ETF and Indexed Strategies business in client meetings and at market events to support both the asset raising efforts of the business development teams and of Invesco’s fixed income profile across the DACH and CEE regions; provide expert analysis and insights to both internal and external constituencies
Respond to ad-hoc sales requests by producing clear, accurate and visually engaging responses including analysis and insights on index methodologies, product structure, performance, etc. (client-ready emails, presentations) with steadily increasing autonomy in more complex requests; ensure adherence to relevant Compliance standards in externally-distributed materials; develop content (brochures, presentation decks, etc.) for clients and internal audiences
Monitor fixed income markets and fund industry flows to identify key trends; position Invesco ETFs in relation to these, coordinating messaging and materials with the Product Strategy, Content and Sales teams
Provide feedback to the broader Product Strategy and Content teams to refine our marketing materials and business strategy for the DACH region
Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles
What you will bring:
Fluent German and English
Previous experience in a client facing role involving significant direct client contact
Candidates with previous/existing direct client relationships in fixed income in the DACH region will be prioritised
Significant experience working in fixed income markets in either a portfolio management/trading/product role or specialist sales capacity
Deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem highly valued
Would suit a product strategist/CPM with a high level of client facing experience or a client director with deep technical knowledge of fixed income.
Quantitative skills / analytical skills – familiarity and ease with index calculation, performance analytics and statistical techniques; confidence in manipulating and analysing data to derive relevant insights
Detailed understanding of fixed income markets and the interaction of the different participants. Understanding of the different motivations and needs of different client types
Proven interpersonal / communication skills: ability to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way
Proven public speaking skills and ability to present in an engaging manner in both one-on-one client meetings and group events
University degree, preferably in a technical field (mathematics, physical sciences, engineering)
Additional qualifications (e.g., CFA) highly valued
A clear analytical thinker and natural problem solver with strong quantitative skills and confidence working with data
Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly, think logically and communicate ideas clearly
Outstanding attention to detail in quantitative work as well as in the preparation of written materials (grammar) or presentations (formatting)
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and meet deadlines
An entrepreneurial and proactive self-starter with the confidence to independently identify opportunities and drive business growth
