Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using Go, applying principles of efficient and idiomatic Go code (including interfaces, goroutines, and channels in the context of testing).
Building and improving test automation frameworks for backend services and APIs.
Writing reliable, clean, and scalable test code aligned with automation best practices.
Developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for distributed systems, understanding their differences and role within the testing pyramid.
Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution—not just integrating but fully maintaining test pipelines.
Running automated tests in local Docker-based environments and managing test dependencies using containerized setups.
Performing root cause analysis of test failures and improving automation stability.
Collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and overall product quality.
Supporting manual testing when required to ensure full feature coverage.
Documenting automation processes, test architecture, frameworks, and internal tooling.
Requirements
Experience as a QA Automation Engineer, including hands-on experience with Go for 2,5+ years.
Strong understanding of automated testing principles, SDLC, and QA methodologies.
Experience automating tests for APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
Knowledge of Go language, frameworks, and testing libraries (e.g., Testify, GoMock).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Dockerized environments.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and tools like Postman or Swagger.
Understanding of version control (Git) and code review processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice to have
Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or distributed systems.
Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
