The Role: Our group builds the software that enables large‑scale quantitative research at the core of WorldQuant’s platform. We are embarking on a multi‑year effort to develop a powerful, scalable, and efficient platform that will support the firm’s growth over the next decade. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of complex technical challenges and bring strong experience, judgment, and perspective to the team.
What You’ll Bring:
At least 7 years of experience writing production‑quality Python code on Linux
Willingness to learn C++ is required; prior experience with C++ is a strong plus
Strong interest and motivation to work with machine learning, deep learning, and backtesting platform design and development (Prior experience is not required but is considered a strong plus)
Solid understanding of Linux system programming fundamentals
Proven ability to design and develop large‑scale, distributed systems
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, high‑performance application design, and concurrency patterns
Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance
Proficiency in English
Nice to Have:
Systems for managing and performing computation on large‑scale graph data
Streaming or dataflow systems
Experience in financial services (not required)
