Principal Cloud Architect – Public Sector

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Architect to support strategic Public Sector customers and lead complex cloud transformation initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, partnering with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to design and deliver innovative Oracle Cloud solutions that address critical business and technology challenges.
As a recognized technical leader, you will engage with executive stakeholders, influence technology strategies, and help customers accelerate their adoption of Oracle Cloud. You will play a key role in shaping solution architectures, guiding implementation approaches, and driving successful business outcomes for some of the most complex and strategic customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead technical advisor for strategic Public Sector customers, helping define cloud strategies and modernization roadmaps.
Partner closely with sales teams to identify opportunities, develop solution strategies, and accelerate Oracle Cloud adoption.
Build trusted relationships with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
Lead architecture design activities, technical workshops, executive briefings, and highly customized solution demonstrations.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.
Guide customers throughout the cloud adoption lifecycle, including discovery, proof of concept (POC), implementation planning, deployment, and optimization.
Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, application modernization, data platforms, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
Develop innovative solution frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable technical assets that can be leveraged across multiple customer engagements.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify customer requirements, influence product direction, and drive enhancements that improve customer outcomes.
Mentor and support other architects, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Represent Oracle at customer events, industry forums, conferences, and executive engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud architectures.
Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and modern cloud-native technologies.
Strong background in digital transformation, application modernization, data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise integration.
Proven experience engaging with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic technology decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary customer engagements.
Strong consulting, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting public sector organizations, government entities, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
English and Spanish proficiency preferred.
