Описание вакансии
As Partner Co-Marketing Manager for Asia, you'll drive customer acquisition and conversion through Shopify's partner network across the region—designing and executing marketing programs that empower partners to generate demand, build brand awareness, and deliver commercial results across D2C, B2B, retail, and cross-border segments.
You'll also raise the marketing craft across the Partner Success team and partner network, making great marketing a shared capability rather than a central function. Success requires deep partner marketing expertise, a passion for building others' capabilities, and the influence to move partners and stakeholders without authority.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute partner co-marketing programs that drive customer acquisition and pipeline growth across Asia. Work through Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key partners to set shared priorities and coordinate strategies that expand market presence across D2C, B2B, retail, and cross-border segments.
- Build marketing craft across the partner ecosystem. Act as the marketing coach for Partner Success teams and partners themselves—sharing frameworks, best practices, and strategic thinking that raise the quality of work across the network. Your goal is to multiply impact by building capability, not by centralizing execution.
- Enable partners to execute marketing with confidence. Assess each partner's capability, capacity, and potential, then match them with the right level of marketing activity—whether that's a single co-branded asset, a targeted event, or a full multi-channel campaign. Provide strategy, assets, and coaching so partners can own and run programs that deliver clear, proportionate outcomes.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic partners with ruthless prioritization. Develop engagement structures and marketing strategies aligned to Shopify's business outcomes. Influence Partner Success Managers to champion marketing as a growth lever, and equip them with the tools to have stronger marketing conversations with their portfolios.
- Localize campaigns for cultural resonance. Ensure all programs, assets, and events are adapted for Chinese-speaking and Southeast Asian markets—including language, channels, messaging, and cultural nuances.
- Track performance and optimize for commercial results. Analyze campaign effectiveness, lead quality, ROI, and pipeline impact. Report insights to stakeholders and refine programs based on what drives growth. Manage regional budget, forecast costs, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with Partner Success, Direct Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, agencies, and external partners to ensure programs are aligned and well-executed.
Qualifications
- Experience in partner marketing, channel marketing, or co-marketing in Asia's ecommerce, tech, or SaaS space—focused on enabling and activating partners rather than direct execution.
- Proven ability to design partner programs that drive results. You've built playbooks and enablement materials that equip partners to run multi-channel campaigns independently, and you've generated measurable partner-driven demand, pipeline growth, and revenue.
- Portfolio management experience. You've prioritized and coached a book of partners or clients, setting clear outcomes and holding them accountable while building their marketing capabilities at scale.
- Native or near-native Mandarin proficiency and strong English communication skills. Deep familiarity with Chinese-speaking market business culture, marketing channels, customer behavior, and regulatory nuances.
- Strong influencing skills without authority. You motivate partners to invest in and execute marketing through coaching, frameworks, and trust, not mandates.
- Analytical and operationally strong. Experience with MDF management (allocation through ROI reporting), campaign measurement, budget management, and data-driven optimization.
- Comfortable with remote collaboration and willing to travel across Asia for partner engagements and events.
Bonus
- Existing network within Asia's agency, SI, or tech partner ecosystem—particularly in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Greater China
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar commerce/SaaS platforms
- Proficiency in additional Asian languages (Bahasa, Thai, Cantonese)
