Areas of Responsibility
1. Market, Category and Competitor Analytics
• Conduct regular analysis of market, category, segment and channel dynamics.
• Analyze company and competitor brand performance; identify key issues, changes and opportunity areas.
• Highlight important competitor-driven changes and relevant market signals.
• Support performance analysis by matching internal sales data with external retail audit data.
• Contribute to market outlook and planning assumptions through fact-based analysis, including forecast updates for the market, categories and estimated market share.
• Provide market and category input to support strategic planning, NPD processes and commercial discussions.
• Support selling story development with relevant category and market data.
2. Reporting and Dashboard Development
• Prepare regular market reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, on time and in full, with clear conclusions and business implications.
• Maintain and further develop the market dashboard in Power BI; improve its analytical depth and usability over time.
• Prepare quarterly market update presentations for Marketing and Sales teams, including key trends, competitor highlights and business implications.
• Improve reporting standards over time by moving from descriptive outputs to more insight-led materials.
3. Market Data Ownership and Supplier Coordination
• Ensure timely delivery and availability of syndicated databases for the team.
• Monitor data quality, coverage and classification accuracy to ensure data is fit for purpose.
• Communicate new product launches and classification updates to data suppliers.
• Support the annual supplier review and negotiation process.
• Ensure correct use of different data sources depending on business questions and analytical tasks.
4. Knowledge Sharing and Deeper Analytical Work
• Distribute relevant market digests and external publications to the team.
• Contribute to at least one focused analytical case per quarter beyond regular reporting.
5. Key Deliverable
• Monthly market performance report with clear conclusions and business implications.
• Quarterly market and competitor review presentation for Marketing and Sales teams, including market outlook.
• Annual market overview with key learnings and conclusions.
• Updated and relevant market dashboard in Power BI.
• At least one focused analytical case per quarter.
• Ad hoc market analyses supporting key business priorities.
• Quarterly market and market share forecast update.
Key Requirements and Skills
1. Education and Experience
• Degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Data Analytics or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in market analytics / insights in FMCG, retail or consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with retail audit / market data.
• Experience with NielsenIQ is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of retail audit methodology, data structure and coverage logic.
2. Technical Skills
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, scenario-based models, dashboards).
• Experience with NielsenIQ Answers or similar data platforms.
• Power BI (dashboard maintenance experience).
• PowerPoint.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English (upper-intermediate or higher).
3. Personal and Professional Skills
• Strong analytical thinking and curiosity; comfortable working deeply with data.
• Ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies and meaningful signals in market data.
• Good understanding of category structure and assortment dynamics.
• Ability to structure, clean and analyze large data sets from multiple sources.
• Ability to translate data into clear actionable insights.
• Confidence to present to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and well-structured approach; resilience under tight deadlines.
4. Additional Technical Skills Considered an Advantage
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development.
• Basic statistical or driver-analysis capability, including correlation and regression analysis.
