The Global Shared Services Center (GSSC) enables business operations across multiple geographies and lines of business through accurate, compliant, and timely contract administration.
The Customer Deal Desk team is a critical enabler for Sales, Legal, Finance, and Business Operations. The team supports the creation, validation, and processing of customer and Partner/Vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies, commercial guidelines, and operational standards.
We operate in a fast-paced, high-volume, SLA/TAT-driven environment, especially during quarter-end cycles. Our focus is on contract accuracy, commercial terms understanding, process discipline, and seamless stakeholder collaboration.
The Lead Specialist – Customer Deal Desk is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contractual documents to support Sales-led deal execution.
This is a non-customer-facing role that works behind the scenes to enable Sales and Legal teams. The role focuses on preparing and redlining contracts for negotiation and ensuring contract readiness for execution.
The position works closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and processed within defined timelines.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, solid understanding of commercial terms, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.
Draft, review, and prepare contract documents and redlines (sales agreements, amendments, NDAs, vendor contracts) in alignment with company policies and standard templates
Support the contract lifecycle from request intake through drafting, validation, and submission for approvals
Prepare and redline contracts to support negotiation; ensure contract readiness for execution
Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to ensure contract completeness, accuracy, and alignment with commercial terms
Ensure adherence to standard templates, playbooks, and compliance requirements
Identify and flag risks, inconsistencies, or deviations from standard terms; escalate to appropriate stakeholders as needed
Maintain accurate and complete documentation within internal systems (e.g., Q system) for auditability and tracking
Track contract progress and ensure timely turnaround in line with defined SLAs/TATs, especially during peak business cycles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address process gaps and improve turnaround efficiency
Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
Mandatory:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in contract management, deal desk, or commercial operations
Strong understanding of contract structures, clauses, and commercial terms
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in complex documents
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes under tight timelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Good-to-Have:
Experience in Deal Desk / Sales Operations / Shared Services environments
Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools or document systems (e.g., Q system)
Basic understanding of legal and compliance frameworks
Exposure to process automation, AI tools, or workflow optimization
Work Timings
Flexible to work in night shifts (8 PM – 5 AM or 9 PM – 6 AM IST)
