Lead Power BI Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Power BI Analyst to join our Data Platform team and play a pivotal role in structuring our new BI service offering.
This position involves streamlining and migrating our diverse reporting stack, which currently includes Business Objects, Tableau, ungoverned Power BI reports, and Palantir Foundry, to optimized, future-proof solutions with a focus on Power BI and/or Palantir Foundry.
Responsibilities
Understand the existing BI landscape and analyze the initial high-level architecture and report inventory assessment
Define governance frameworks and structure the BI service in collaboration with the Data Platform team and the BI Product Owner
Provide recommendations for criteria and decision-making on using Palantir Foundry vs. Power BI
Assess report complexity and estimate efforts required for migration with the support of the existing team
Contribute to hiring and managing a future BI development team
Handover defined processes, improvement ideas, and recommendations to internal experts
Requirements
10+ years of experience as a BI Engineer
Strong expertise in Power BI, both in report development and platform administration
Strong experience in SQL
Knowledge of data management and data privacy topics is a must-have
Ability to help define processes around BI management
Knowledge of (Re)insurance industry and/or Financial Services is a strong plus
Experience with Tableau and/or Business Objects is a plus
Nice to have
Knowledge of Power BI Architecture
