Key Java AI Engineer

We are seeking a Key Java AI Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies. In this role, you will lead the implementation of business-critical, AI-powered features while contributing across the entire AI Software Development Life Cycle, from solution design through deployment and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Design, build and deploy AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies
Lead the implementation of business-critical features powered by AI
Contribute to all phases of the AI Software Development Life Cycle, including solution design, prompt engineering, model integration, evaluation, monitoring, deployment and continuous improvement
Stay updated on the latest trends in Java and AI technologies
Requirements
3+ years of experience in data engineering or backend platform development
Proven experience implementing the AI Software Development Life Cycle
Qualifications in solution design, prompt engineering and model integration
Familiarity with evaluation, monitoring, deployment and continuous improvement of AI solutions
Proficiency in Java and/or Scala as primary languages with Python as secondary
Expertise in Apache Spark, including Spark SQL and Spark Streaming
Knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
Competency in SQL and data modeling
Skills in AWS cloud services and serverless computing
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
Flexibility to use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS / AKS) and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift
Understanding of Microsoft Azure services and Azure-native tooling
Knowledge of Iceberg, Hudi or Delta Lake
Familiarity with Generative AI Fundamentals, Gen AI Assisted Development and GitHub Copilot
