Role Overview
The IT Manager France role is key to ensuring best in class service delivery for our clients in France.
He/she will be responsible for overseeing all IT operations, projects, and compliance activities within France, ensuring alignment with both local and regional business objectives.
This role manages a team of Field Service Engineers and Project Managers, working in close collaboration with Sales, Merchant Operations, HR and Finance to deliver robust IT support and strategic project execution.
The candidate must have strong service ethics, organizational and communication skills.
Position could require travelling.

Main duties & Responsibilities
Lead the team, develop the talents, foster the team spirit and culture of innovation
Organize, process, and structure the IT team for optimal performance.
Coordinate with the other functions to better internal processes to onboarding clients and staff, continuously improve service level through internal processes betterment and cross-functional teamwork.
Be the technical referent for local regulation and compliance on Global Blue’s systems & products
Ensure close monitoring of Cybersecurity risks and Fraud prevention
Monitor and review IT support tickets. Ensure support SLA are met
Manage local IT budgets and actuals, including spending monitoring, CAPEX reviews and timesheets.
Lead, monitor and report on projects, ensure timely execution
Maintain and upkeep internal GB merchant-oriented back-office systems
Manage merchant hardware and software provided by Global Blue, ensure upkeep of inventory, manage approval processes.
Oversee merchant lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
Ownership of local branch office systems (badges, CCTV, telephony).
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Field, and Sales teams for integrated business support.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding of internal staff in France.
Follow local HR processes (early reviews, time & attendance…)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lead and develop technical teams.
Proven experience in IT management, preferably within a multi-site or multinational environment.
Excellent organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong understanding of merchant systems, hardware, network and software management.
Sales-oriented mindset
Specific skills and knowledge
Understanding of Point-of-sale related technology and transactional systems
Understanding of payment solutions.
Familiarity with IT budgeting and CAPEX
