Intellectual Property Counsel

1、Patent licensing: design and implement solutions for patent licensing in Asia area, including but not limited patent licensing market insight, patent licensing negotiation. Interaction with, and representation of, Huawei IP Licensing personnel in connection with outbound licensing initiatives, including negotiation with identified licensing candidates.
2、Patent Operating & Cooperation & Litigation: design and implement solutions for patent litigation, IP cooperation, and patent operation projects of Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Dept.
3、Environmental Construction: Follows up on the legislation and policies of major countries in the region and builds the environment; Assist in the development of policies and procedures to optimize Huawei’s patent portfolio and associated patent practice. Interaction with, and representation of, Huawei IP in connection with local industry peers in Asia area, for long term cooperation and assisting the environment development.
Requirements:
Language:English/ Japanese
Education:Legal background or technical background (such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) with a Master degree in legal and/or intellectual property or relevant field.
Skills：
• Possess excellent oral and written communications skills and negotiation skill.
• Possess excellent IP legal skill, including demonstrated ability to independently formulate and draft appropriate contract.
• Japanese and English are as working language with written and oral communication; excellent English oral and written communications skills.
• Familiar with Japanese IP environment.
Others:
• Candidates must possess a strong legal background or telecommunications technical background.
• Experience of IP affairs is preferred.
