We are looking for an analytical and forward-thinking Global S&OP Analyst to support and enhance our Sales & Operations Planning cycle by analyzing demand, supply, inventory, and external market conditions. In addition to traditional S&OP responsibilities, this role integrates both micromarket signals (customer behavior, competitive actions, pricing, channel performance) and macroeconomic factors (industry trends, economic indicators, geopolitical risks, cost inflation) into the forecasting and planning process. The analyst transforms these inputs into actionable scenarios and recommendations that guide decisions across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Although preferred location is Vantaa (Finland), we are accepting applications from other areas in EMEA, China and India.
Your main responsibilities include:
Collect continuously the market data which affects to Valmet’s competitiveness and delivery plans, both in sales projects and on-going deliveries.
Analyze historical sales trends, market inputs, customer data, and delivery efficiency data, to generate accurate and actionable demand forecast.
Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to track the performance of Valmet S&OP processes and business areas accordingly, e.g. PowerBI.
Support all the S&OP teams, with regards to demand forecasting, supply planning, scenario analysis, and executive reviews to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Collaborate with other global supply function to be aligned and sharing relevant information among the organization.
Participate S&OP meetings according to the agreed practices.
Leverage ERP and planning systems (e.g., LN, SAP, etc. ) to extract and analyze data, streamline planning processes, and ensure data integrity.
Who is the candidate we are looking for
BSc and MSc degree in business, supply chain, engineering or similar education.
2+ years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP.
Proven track record of leading transformational initiatives and continuous improvement in S&OP processes or other similar processes.
Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques.
General understanding of Valmet’s business segments, especially Engineering to Order process will help you.
Track records of developing S&OP processes and systems for data driven decision making.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast and dynamic business environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
Innovative thinking ability to find new solutions in case of imbalances.
This role requires occasional travel, particularly during the onboarding phase, approximately 15% of your working time.
