Role Details
Location: Bangalore, India
Employment Type: Full‑time
Experience: 4+ years
Shift Model: 24×7×365 rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays)
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & Reliability
Provide hands‑on DevOps support in a 24×7 RMDC environment
Monitor, triage, and mitigate incidents impacting production platforms
Own first‑response actions for alerts related to platform services, databases, and monitoring systems
Coordinate incident escalation with Operations, Engineering, Product, and IT teams
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) reviews and reliability improvement initiatives
Containerised Platform & Services Support
Support containerised services (Docker‑based platforms)
Troubleshoot service failures, restarts, health checks, and resource constraints
Understand dependencies between databases, APIs, and monitoring tools
Ensure high availability and recoverability of production services
Database & Historian Systems
Operate and support PostgreSQL‑based platforms
Strong operational knowledge of PostgreSQL (primary database)
Exposure to time‑series databases such as TimescaleDB or InfluxDB
Monitor database health, storage growth, connectivity, and performance
Support API‑backed data platforms (GraphQL or REST‑based)
Coordinate with engineering teams when database issues impact UI or monitoring visibility
Observability & Monitoring
Build and maintain Grafana dashboards for operational visibility
Define health metrics, alerts, and thresholds for production systems
Improve alert quality and reduce operational noise
Automation & Infrastructure
Develop automation using Bash and Python scripting
Support Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or Ansible
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline stability and recovery mechanisms
Linux & System Administration
Troubleshoot Linux‑based production servers
Analyse services, logs, and system performance
Support OS patching, security hardening, and health checks
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Create and maintain SOPs and operational runbooks
Ensure operational readiness and effective knowledge sharing
Required Skills
4+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Operations
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
Hands‑on Grafana dashboard development experience
PostgreSQL operational experience (required)
Exposure to time‑series databases (preferred)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform / Ansible)
Docker container experience
Bash and Python scripting skills
Experience supporting 24×7 production environments
Good to Have
TimescaleDB or InfluxDB experience
GraphQL‑backed data platform exposure
MySQL or MariaDB familiarity
Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred)
Incident management or ITIL exposure
Experience in NOC or mission‑critical operations
Exposure to OT or industrial environments
