Are you an experienced Food & Hospitality professional who thrives on developing others and delivering engaging, high-quality training?
We are seeking a Contract Trainer & Assessor to deliver impactful, compliant and industry-relevant training across face-to-face and virtual environments. This role offers flexibility, with remote delivery and assessment marking, plus travel to client sites for in-person sessions when required.
About the Role
As a Contract Trainer & Assessor, you will develop, deliver and assess nationally recognised training programs in alignment with the 2025 Standards for RTOs, ensuring quality, compliance and strong learner outcomes.
You will deliver through:
Face-to-face training
Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)
Assessment of eLearning submissions
Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare engaging training and assessment sessions
Deliver training aligned to approved training and assessment strategies
Conduct fair, valid, current and sufficient assessments
Evaluate training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement
Participate in validation activities and internal/external audits
Maintain professional development and industry currency
Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials
Build and maintain strong industry and educational networks
About You
You are industry-current, organised and confident delivering in both classroom and virtual settings.
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110)
Relevant vocational qualifications in approved Food & Hospitality courses
Experience & Capability
Demonstrated experience delivering Food & Hospitality training programs
Strong understanding of Trainer & Assessor obligations under the 2025 Standards for RTOs
Ability to design and deliver compliant training aligned to Training Package requirements
High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational and time management capability
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
Experience delivering in virtual platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams or similar)
Other Requirements
Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel (including overnight stays) to client sites as required
Hold active ABN and Insurances
