We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (AWS/DBX) role to support and evolve our client’s cloud architecture and Databricks platform on AWS.
You will work closely with clint’s engineering and platform teams to design, implement, and optimize a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data platform environment.
This role goes beyond implementation — it requires architectural thinking, ownership of platform design, and a strong focus on automation and standardization across environments.
Main Tasks
Design and implement scalable AWS cloud architectures with a strong focus on networking and platform stabilityArchitect and manage AWS networking components (VPCs, routing, egress control, hybrid connectivity)Build and maintain Databricks platform architecture on AWS, ensuring best practices and scalabilityDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, with a focus on reusable and modular designDefine and implement cost allocation models across tenants and projectsDesign and develop CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Declarative Automation Bundles – DAB) to enable automated deploymentsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to define platform standards, governance, and best practicesDrive automation initiatives to reduce manual operations and improve reliability
Requirements
Strong hands-on and architectural experience with AWS cloud environmentsDeep expertise in AWS networking, including:VPC designEgress control strategiesHybrid (on-prem & cloud) connectivityProven experience with Terraform for infrastructure and network automationStrong experience in Databricks on AWS, including:Platform setup and managementDeep understanding of Databricks architecture and componentsSolid knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) in both AWS and DatabricksExperience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesAbility to operate at both hands-on and architectural levelsNice to Have
Experience with Microsoft AzureFamiliarity with multi-cloud environmentsExperience with advanced automation frameworks and DevOps toolingBackground in platform engineering or internal developer platforms (IDP)
