Garage Data Systems (GDS), part of the ClearCourse group, is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help grow our garage management software and integrated payments solutions across the UK and Ireland.
This is a new business focused role where you’ll be responsible for winning new customers, developing relationships across the automotive aftermarket, and helping independent garages modernise the way they operate through technology.
You’ll be selling a combination of garage management software, cloud-based solutions, and integrated payments products to garage owners, workshop managers, and independent repair centres. The role will suit someone who enjoys consultative, solution-led sales and is comfortable building relationships face-to-face as well as over the phone.
We’re looking for someone proactive, commercially driven, and confident managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close. Experience within automotive software, SaaS, payments, or the wider aftermarket sector would be highly beneficial.
What You’ll Be Doing
Winning new business across independent garages and workshop groups
Building strong relationships with garage owners and key decision makers
Conducting outbound prospecting and cold outreach activity
Delivering tailored product demonstrations both remotely and in person
Promoting GDS software solutions alongside Garage Pay integrated payments
Managing a healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecasting activity through CRM
Attending customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events across the UK and Ireland
Working closely with internal onboarding, support, and marketing teams
Identifying upsell opportunities including cloud upgrades and additional services
Becoming a trusted advisor within the automotive aftermarket space
Requirements
Proven experience in B2B business development or software sales
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience managing the full sales cycle
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and generating new business opportunities
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
Experience within the automotive aftermarket or garage sector
Exposure to garage management systems, field-service software, or SaaS platforms
Payments or fintech sales experience
Experience delivering software demonstrations
CRM experience, ideally Pipedrive
