The KYC team at Plata is responsible for customer verification across all payment and financial products of the company: Invest, SME, Family Banking, debit and credit cards.
Within KYC, we work with document verification, face matching, liveness detection, integrations with government databases, proof of address, and additional risk checks. We use multiple providers and verification channels.
The core goal of this role is to deeply understand KYC processes and continuously improve their efficiency, balancing fraud detection, approval rate, and operational load.
Challenges that await you:
Analyzing and optimizing KYC configurations to improve fraud detection efficiency and approval rate
Finding the right balance between automatic decisioning and manual review
Defining and improving the logic for case creation for manual validation
Working with KYC performance and quality metrics (approval rate, false positives, manual review share, precision and recall)
Performing independent data analysis using SQL to identify bottlenecks and weak points in KYC flows
Participating in the setup and improvement of operational processes between teams (e.g. task redistribution between ops teams)
Formalizing business processes and analytical requirements
Collaborating closely with KYC product teams, operations, analytics, and engineering
What makes you a great fit:
Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of how databases work
Hands-on in data analysis
Good understanding of business and operational processes
Strong logical and analytical thinking
Experience working with performance and quality metrics
Technical background
B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team

Experience with KYC, fraud, risk, or compliance domains
Experience working with external verification providers or scoring systems
Understanding of automated decisioning and manual review flows
