Requirements
Experience : 4+ yearsMust have skills : Graph Data Modeling,Kotlin (Strong),Neo4jStrong professional experience in backend engineering and software developmentStrong proficiency in Kotlin or Java with hands-on production experience in KotlinSolid experience working with Neo4j in production or complex enterprise systemsStrong understanding of graph data modeling concepts and query optimization techniquesExperience designing and developing backend services, APIs, and distributed systemsGood understanding of system design, architecture principles, and scalable application developmentStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience with graph databases such as Amazon Neptune or similar technologies is a plusFamiliarity with Ruby on Rails or other backend frameworks is an added advantageExposure to AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native application development is preferredExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices is desirableAbility to work in fast-moving product teams with high ownership and collaborationWillingness and flexibility to work in US overlapping hours (6 PM – 3 AM IST)
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using KotlinBuild and optimize graph-based data solutions using Neo4j and graph data modeling principlesDesign efficient graph schemas, relationships, and query structures to support complex business use casesOptimize Neo4j queries and database performance for scalability and reliabilityCollaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define and implement backend solutionsContribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions for distributed backend systemsTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across backend services and graph databasesDevelop clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following engineering best practicesParticipate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure solution qualitySupport CI/CD practices and contribute to automation and operational excellence initiativesWork effectively in fast-paced product engineering environments with global collaborationCommunicate technical concepts and design decisions clearly to cross-functional stakeholdersCollaborate with teams during overlapping US business hours (6 PM – 3 AM IST)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
