CNBC is looking for an Associate Producer for Squawk Box. In this role, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial, corporate & political news stories of the day.
Responsibilities:
Working with Executive Producer, Senior Producers, Producers and segment producers to produce CNBC Business News program
Assisting with the coordination of elements for daily business program
Operating in a high-intensity, fast-paced control room
Using equipment to play out all on-air real-time financial charts
Writing copy for daily segments
Being resourceful and creative in helping to deliver the program’s message, including use of clips and graphics
Researching segment ideas and segment information as directed
Assisting in the booking of guests
Assisting producers with story production and pre-interviews

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $65,000-$80,000

What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or business; or an equivalent degree
At least 2 years of television production experience
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. Must be able to work early morning shift (4am start).
Desired Characteristics:
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments, while working with multiple producers and editors on the broadcast and digital teams
Knowledge of current events, politics and pop culture
Exemplary interpersonal skills
Proactive thinker / self-starter
